For more information, visit www.eastman.com .DescriptionThe Sourcing Manager will lead strategic sourcing for multiple categories, the initial/primary focus may include bulk tank terminals, isotanks, surveyors, drayage and freight forwarders. The scope and breadth of this position may evolve as business needs change, and the role may be asked to support other transportation modes as needed. This position will develop market insights and deliver total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) reductions while maintaining supplier service levels. A strong understanding of chemical terminals and/or isotank shipping is preferred.This is an individual contributor position part of a large marine organization.ResponsibilitiesCommercial leverage to achieve best cost and service outcome for responsible CategoriesAssess and address category riskImplement and develop mitigation and contingency plansWork closely with key stakeholders, ensure alignment with Business, Logistics Operations Technology, and Manufacturing stakeholder needs, and develop effective category strategies and implementation plansDevelop and maintain deep market insights and expertise into assigned categoriesMust be familiar with overseeing sourcing strategy, development, and executionDrive sustainable procurement and risk management objectivesOversee process to select suppliers and own relationship and performanceNegotiate and execute contracts in line with the product and category strategiesCollaboration with key business and functional partners to ensure alignment of strategies with business needsMeasure and track internal performance within each spend categoryDrive annual productivity improvements in each spend categoryCollaboration with Marine Operations and distribution safety to qualify new vendorsBalance commercial and sustainable aspects to make sourcing decisions aligned with company and business strategiesConduct strategic RFPs, supplier evaluations, and bid analyses as neededPartner with Legal to ensure alignment with corporate standards and compliance requirements. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field requiredMaster’s degree a plus2+ years experience required; 5+ years of experience preferred either within Procurement or similar commercial experience.Experience with Chemical Terminals or Marine modes strongly preferredChemical industry experience strongly preferredNegotiation experience with customers or suppliersE-procurement tool experience preferred (Coupa, Ariba, etc.)Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, cost modeling, and market researchLogistics operations background is preferredBenefitsYour total rewards go far beyond a competitive salary.
