Position Summary The Logistics Manager plans, coordinates, and oversees inbound and outbound plant transportation and related shipping activities for the Yuma operation. This position works closely with sales personnel, sales coordinators, growers, drivers, contractors, and operational teams to support safe, accurate, compliant, and timely deliveries. The role also directs assigned personnel, maintains transportation and inventory records, and helps ensure compliance with company requirements and applicable transportation, permit, inspection, and documentation standards. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field preferred. Five years of progressively responsible logistics, transportation, nursery, agriculture, or comparable operational experience may substitute for the preferred degree. Prior experience coordinating drivers, shipment schedules, loading crews, transportation records, and regulatory documentation strongly preferred. Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred. Current Commercial Drivers License preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing Working knowledge of logistics coordination, load planning, shipment documentation, inventory control, and driver scheduling. Ability to read, interpret, record, and reconcile operational data accurately and consistently. Basic mathematical skills, including calculating quantities and interpreting simple charts or reports. Working proficiency with email, calendars, word processing, spreadsheets, and other company systems. Ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive shipments, respond to changing conditions, and exercise sound judgment. Strong organizational, leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of DOT, electronic logging device, vehicle-file, permit, and inspection requirements applicable to assigned operations. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. A valid CDL issued by the employee’s state of residence is required when operating vehicles for which a CDL is legally required. Ability to maintain confidential information and use company information and systems appropriately. This is a full-time year-round career position.
