Paul Mueller CompanyThe Logistics and Service Manager serves a critical leadership role within the Dairy Farm Equipment division. This role ensures that Mueller products are delivered efficiently, installed successfully, and supported with the highest level of customer service throughout their lifecycle. This position combines two highly visible functions: logistics coordinator and service management. The Logistics and Service Manager will oversee on-time product deliveries, dealer communications, inventory utilization, and freight logistics while also leading a team of over-the-phone technical service professionals dedicated to supporting our Certified Dealer Network. As a critical link between Sales, Operations, Dealers, Freight Partners, and Service Personnel, this individual will drive communication, accountability, and execution to ensure an exceptional customer experience. The Logistics and Service Manager will play a key role in protecting and advancing Paul Mueller Company's long-standing reputation for quality, reliability, and customer support. Essential Job Functions Lead a team of 4–8 technicians responsible for supporting the Mueller Certified Dealer Network with timely, professional, and effective technical support. Oversee problem resolution while maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction. Coordinate and manage field service support activities when necessary. Direct the planning and execution of 4–6 annual training seminars at the Dealer Service Center. Serve as a steward of the Mueller Dairy Farm Equipment reputation by balancing customer advocacy with sound warranty and concession decision-making. Monitor service trends and identify opportunities for product, process, and training improvements. Assist Research and Devolvement and/or DFE Engineering by facilitating performance or product testing in the DFE Service Center Laboratory. Participate in production meetings to identify potential delays, capacity constraints, material shortages, or staffing concerns that could impact delivery commitments. Align dealer installation schedules and customer expectations with manufacturing timelines Manage multiple customer projects simultaneously while balancing dealer requirements, inventory availability, and production schedules. Analyze backlog, inventory levels, and shipment priorities to optimize delivery performance. Coordinate freight scheduling with selected carriers and logistics partners. Provide customers and internal stakeholders with timely updates regarding production status, shipment schedules, and delivery expectations. Collaborate with manufacturing leadership through regular floor engagement to obtain real-time project updates and improve communication accuracy. Support revenue forecasting and shipment planning through participation in weekly operational reviews and reporting processes. Ensures lessons learned are applied to future efforts. Drive to exceed personal/team/Company goals by holding self and team to high-performance standards. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner. Must have a valid driver’s license Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position. Performs other related duties, as needed and assigned, including backup for other department personnel, to ensure support of the production plan.
