Logistics & Service Manager

Job Title: Logistics & Service Manager Department: Service Exemption : Exempt Location : Reports directly to: Plant Manager Directly Supervises: Dock Manager/Order Fillers/Drivers POSITION SUMMARY: Supports the customer service division, ensures order accuracy, and coordinates the delivery of products to the customers of Brady Linen Services, LLC MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Operations Management: Oversee daily operations to achieve departmental goals, adhere to budgets, and meet business requirements. Develop and maintain efficient schedules and workflows to manage labor costs, control overtime, and meet KPIs. Employee Supervision: Manage and support staff performance, including hiring, training, coaching, and disciplinary actions, ensuring compliance with HR policies. Oversee Order Fillers, Drivers, and Transportation Managers, including scheduling and managing vacations/PTO. Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to safety standards, established procedures, and DOT regulations, prioritizing accident prevention. Manage and monitor inventory, equipment, and vehicles, coordinating maintenance and repairs with service vendors as necessary. Logistics Coordination: Coordinate delivery drivers to ensure timely and accurate shipments, optimize routes, and meet customer and plant requirements. Handle order management, including scheduling, loading/unloading, and addressing product changes. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries, addressing concerns, and resolving issues. Coordinate with plant management to address customer needs and ensure satisfaction. Communication and Documentation: Communicate effectively with production and service teams to address operational issues. Maintain accurate records, including logs, trip sheets, production forecasts, and delivery receipts, ensuring precise invoicing and information flow. Incident and Issue Management: Handle incident reporting for safety, productivity, and quality concerns. Document and report issues to management and coordinate corrective actions. General Support: Organize, plan, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and business goals. Manage emails and use critical thinking to improve delivery processes and resolve issues. Perform additional duties as required to support overall business objectives. QUALIFICATIONS AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: At least one year of excellent customer service skills Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently Forklift and pallet jack-certified Flexible schedule, including days/nights, weekends, and holidays COMPUTER / TECHNICAL SKILLS / JOB-SPECIFIC SKILLS: Knowledge of order management system (Linen Master) Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel WORK HOURS: This is an exempt position, and this job description should not be interpreted as all-inclusive; it is intended to identify the major responsibilities and requirements of the job.
