Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Logistics Sales Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and managing client relationships within the logistics and transportation industry, driving sales growth through strategic account management, and delivering tailored freight solutions. Your expertise in supply chain management, transportation planning, and freight brokerage will be essential to providing exceptional service to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence logistics operations while fostering long-term partnerships and expanding our market presence. Responsibilities Develop new business opportunities through proactive lead generation, cold calling, and networking within the logistics sector. Manage existing client accounts by understanding their supply chain needs and providing customized transportation solutions. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with clients and carriers to ensure mutually beneficial arrangements. Coordinate transportation planning activities, including shipping logistics, freight forwarding logistics, air freight, and trade compliance requirements. Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS), CRM software, and EDI platforms to streamline operations, track shipments, and maintain accurate data entry. Collaborate with carriers, 3PL providers, and freight brokers to optimize transportation routes and ensure timely deliveries. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of international trade regulations, FDA regulations (if applicable), and shipping logistics standards to ensure compliance. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and communicating effectively throughout the sales process. Requirements Proven experience in logistics sales, transportation management, or supply chain management with a focus on B2B sales. Strong understanding of transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, freight brokerage logistics, and shipping logistics processes. Demonstrated ability in sales negotiation, client relationship management, and account management within a logistics or freight forwarding environment. Knowledge of NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations, air freight procedures, and international trade regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting purposes. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and client relationship development. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience working within a logistics company or 3PL provider is highly preferred; familiarity with FDA regulations is a plus.
