Logistics Production Leader

Job Description: Working as Production Lead, the primary role is to demonstrate ownership and responsibility for a set of machines, pieces of equipment and/ or processes within their working area. This includes carrying out the routine operational tasks required to achieve area targets e.g. starting-up, shutting-down, monitoring, cleaning, and carrying out basic changeovers, minor repairs, routine checks and inspections, and the use of basic ancillary equipment and computer programs. What are we looking for? Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent education. Fluent English verbal and written skills. Experience in the FMCG / Factory Operations industry required. Mechanical training or experience in fault-finding required. 3+ years leadership experience required. Physical Requirements: Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs) Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling and gripping Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift). Ability to read, write and speak English What will be your key responsibilities? Leading a shift team of up to 15 associates contributing to achievement of targets. Accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, or pieces of equipment. Effectively coach and lead the logistics team to meet agreed upon goals. Understanding of major functions within the plant and the ability to work directly with all levels and functions. Escalate issues as appropriate, give full and accurate verbal and written handover.
