Canastra Fishing Company is seeking an experienced, organized, and dependable Logistics Manager to oversee the movement, documentation, and inventory of our seafood products. This role requires close coordination with customers, warehouses, cold-storage facilities, trucking companies, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners. The ideal candidate has previous logistics experience or experience in the seafood industry. The person in this position must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, communication, and timely follow-through are essential. Key Responsibilities Coordinate domestic and international shipments of fresh and frozen seafood products Schedule pickups and deliveries with trucking companies, cold-storage facilities, warehouses, customers, and vendors Prepare and review bills of lading, shipping instructions, packing lists, invoices, and other shipment documentation Maintain accurate records of inventory, product weights, case counts, lot information, shipment dates, and delivery status Track shipments and communicate updates, delays, or changes to customers and internal staff Coordinate the receiving, storage, transfer, and release of seafood inventory Verify that shipping documents match purchase orders, sales orders, and warehouse records Perform accurate and timely data entry into company systems and spreadsheets Assist with documentation required for international shipments and customs clearance Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and customers to resolve shipping or documentation issues Help maintain cold-chain requirements throughout storage and transportation Review freight bills and related charges for accuracy Maintain organized electronic and physical shipment records Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, warehouses, drivers, and other business partners Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, missed pickups, delivery delays, and other logistics problems Support general seafood operations as needed Qualifications Previous logistics experience in the seafood industry is preferred but not necessary Experience coordinating domestic shipments, international shipments, or both Experience preparing bills of lading and other shipping documents Strong data-entry, recordkeeping, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple shipments, deadlines, and changing priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable working independently and collaborating with internal and external partners Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and standard office software Knowledge of seafood inventory, cold storage, refrigerated transportation, or cold-chain logistics is strongly preferred Compensation and Benefits Annual salary of $80,000–$100,000, based on experience Comprehensive benefits package Paid time off Monday–Friday work schedule Hybrid work possibility arrangement How to Apply Considered candidates will be requested to provide a brief summary of relevant logistics or seafood industry experience during the next stage of the selection process Canastra Fishing Company is an equal opportunity employer.
