Logistics Manager

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Manager to oversee the efficient movement and storage of fresh produce and perishables. This role involves managing supply chain operations, negotiating carrier rates, dispatching shipments, and ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in logistics management, supply chain coordination, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and spreadsheets to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency. Duties Coordinate and manage daily logistics operations for the transportation of fresh produce and perishables. Negotiate carrier rates to secure cost-effective transportation solutions. Dispatch shipments accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery to customers. Oversee supply chain activities, including inventory management, procurement, and distribution. Maintain detailed records using spreadsheets to track shipments, costs, and delivery schedules. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving logistical issues promptly. Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to optimize logistics workflows. Monitor industry trends related to logistics management and implement best practices. Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for managing spreadsheets. Strong knowledge of logistics management principles and supply chain operations. Experience in carrier rate negotiations and dispatching shipments. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to analyze data and generate reports for operational improvements. Customer service orientation with effective communication skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
