We specialize in Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), Full Truckload (FTL), Flatbed, Expedited, and specialized freight solutions throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. As our company continues to expand, we are looking for an experienced and driven Logistics Operations Manager to take ownership of our daily operations, lead our existing operations team, and help develop the infrastructure necessary to support our continued growth. Position Overview The Logistics Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing our day-to-day operational functions, including taking the lead of our existing offshore operations team. This individual will be responsible for managing workflows, establishing performance expectations, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring our team consistently meets company standards. Beyond managing daily operations, you will play a critical role in developing and expanding our overall operational infrastructure. We are looking for someone who can identify inefficiencies, implement better processes, develop team members, and build a scalable department capable of supporting significant company growth. This is a hands-on leadership position. We want someone who understands freight brokerage operations from the ground up and can confidently take ownership of the department. Key Responsibilities Operations Management & Leadership Take ownership of the company's daily logistics operations. Lead, manage, and oversee our existing offshore operations team. Establish daily productivity expectations and performance standards. Monitor team performance, workload distribution, and turnaround times. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training. Hold team members accountable for accuracy, efficiency, and execution. Identify staffing needs and assist with future team expansion. Freight & Transportation Operations Oversee LTL, FTL, Flatbed, and specialized freight operations. Manage operational workflows involving quoting, shipment creation, dispatch coordination, tracking, and tracing. Ensure shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. Oversee carrier communication and shipment execution. Handle escalated operational issues, including missed pickups, reweighs, reclasses, carrier disputes, and service failures. Maintain high standards of customer service and operational accuracy. Systems, Processes & Infrastructure Oversee daily utilization and efficiency of our Transportation Management System (TMS). Develop, implement, and maintain operational SOPs. Identify opportunities to automate and improve existing workflows. Develop reporting systems and operational KPIs. Build scalable processes that support increased shipment volume. Continuously evaluate department performance and implement improvements. Strategic Growth Work directly with company leadership to support continued business growth. Develop the operational infrastructure needed to support increasing shipment volume. Help recruit, train, and develop future operations personnel. Establish a department that can operate efficiently without requiring constant oversight from company leadership. Required Qualifications Previous experience in freight brokerage, third-party logistics (3PL), or transportation operations. Strong working knowledge of both LTL and FTL transportation. Hands-on experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS). Understanding of freight quoting, carrier operations, shipment execution, and tracking. Previous leadership, supervisory, or team management experience. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
