Overview We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead shipping, receiving, and material flow operations within a high volume production environment in our Lawton, Oklahoma facility. This role begins as a working manager, actively engaged in daily logistics activities, site initial setup, and will evolve into a leadership position overseeing logistics operations for a large-scale production facility. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise in facility and contract startup, excels in fast-paced environments, and can build systems that scale. Key Responsibilities Lead daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations for materials, equipment, energetics, ammunition, and weapon systems, ensuring safe handling. Develop efficient processes for inbound/outbound logistics, inventory control, and transportation management. Coordinate transportation with government agencies, suppliers, and carriers. Manage warehouse operations and hazardous materials storage controls. Participate in and oversee contract and facility startup activities, ensuring smooth ramp-ups and long-term sustainability. Implement best practices for safety, accuracy, and throughput in all logistics functions. Collaborate closely with production, procurement, safety, and quality teams to ensure continuity in supply chain operations. Build and mentor a growing logistics team as the facility scales. Maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate transportation and logistics contracts. Use data-driven approaches to monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, and DoD explosive safety regulations. Collaborate with engineering teams on packaging specifications. Troubleshoot logistics and material flow challenges and implement solutions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 10 years of logistics experience with energetics or hazardous materials. Knowledge of government contracting and defense logistics systems. Proven experience in contract and facility startup operations. Strong knowledge of shipping/receiving processes, inventory management systems, and warehouse best practices. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment. Hands-on management style with the ability to transition into broader leadership as operations scale. Excellent communication, team-building, and problem-solving skills. Expert knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (49 CFR, IATA DGR, IMDG Code). Preferred Qualifications Military logistics background. Experience with international shipments of controlled materials. Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems.
