• You will execute and manage logistics research and development, assessing and utilizing industry practices to improve maintenance technologies, manufacturing sciences, and technology insertion in the acquisition process.
• You will provide support from concept refinement and technology development through disposal to ensure maintainability, readiness, supportability, and affordability.
• You will perform additional duties as assigned.

• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Functional Area and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established timeframes.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or (DS-04) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes: 1) Managing and directing the efforts of all engineering and logistics personnel assigned (or matrixed) within the program supported; 2) Planning and executing supply for the program product and service demands; 3) Determining, based on technical information/feedback/funding availability, the best approach in expending resources to insure successful logistics support posture; 4) Utilizing established planning tools and procedures to plan, establish, and execute effective total life cycle goals for the assigned system; and 5) Creating and proposing additional planning tools as needed in support of the applicable program.
