Occasional travel away from regular duty location may be required. May be required to work irregular duty hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays. Employees must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position. Depending on qualifications, employees must be able to travel to attend a 2-week Munitions Operations and a 1-week MASO formal training course. This is a government job Series/Grade : NH-0346-III, (GS-12 Equivalency) The Air Force Global Strike Command staff is searching for a Nuclear Logistics Program Manager. Come join our amazing team who ensures operational nuclear weapons are available to the combatant commander. Description of Position: To serve as a MAJCOM Logistics Manager responsible for the management of the full range of life-cycle logistics and stockpile functions as outlined in various agreements between DOW and DOE. Position Responsibilities: Serves as the directorate's Munitions Accountable System Officer (MASO) and Nuclear Weapons Related Materiel (NWRM) Property Custodian managing forecast, authorization, requisitioning, receiving, maintaining, storing, handling, shipping, and disposal of non-nuclear munitions and NWRM components. Assists in Management of Air Force's Defense Integration and Management of Nuclear Data Services (DIAMONDS) system and Management of the associated Joint Nuclear Weapons Publication System (JNWPS) manuals. Participates as the MAJCOM's representative in site visits to field units by DTRA, DOE, and National Laboratories personnel. Sets funding requirements for Second Destination Transportation (SDT) funding authorizations and manages SDT execution. Represents the MAJCOM and the Nuclear Stockpile Division and serves as a logistics specialist for Nuclear Weapons and Nuclear Support Systems. Desired Skills/Expertise: Knowledge of policies, principles, concepts, guidance, procedures, techniques, and methodologies pertaining to the nuclear stockpile, nuclear weapon support systems, and nuclear logistics. Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of DOW and AF organizations. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures to include extensive knowledge of AF and MAJCOM responsibilities for nuclear surety. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing; to establish and maintain positive relationships between diverse organizations; and represent the Air Force in a positive and professional manner Broad knowledge of DOW regulatory requirements, policies and procedures related to technologies affecting the safety, security, reliability, compatibility and certification of AF weapons systems as applicable to nuclear logistics.
