Summary The employee serves as the Logistics Management Specialist sharing the responsibilities for a myriad of administrative matters pertaining to all activities of the Facilities and Logistics Branch. Clarification from the agency U.S. Citizens Duties Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Maintains a tracking system, such as the document register and computer program to account for property that is required and issued out on personal and individual equipment hand receipt records. Provides a wide range of support and assistance to the F&L Branch Chief. Reviews administrative, property, and CIF operations and activities to determine revised techniques, instructions, directives, policies, and all other measures necessary to accomplish improvements. Works with managers, contractors, vendors, and other personnel in different agencies to provide logistical planning and support to ensure the mission is accomplished. Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. You may qualify at the GS-9 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-11) requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position being filled. Applicants for this position must clearly demonstrate in their resume that they possess specialized experience in 1) utilizing procedures and techniques involved in carrying out logistical procedures and practices; 2) applying procedures related to general information management, information technology management, personnel management, property management, and general office administration; 3) coordinating and monitoring administrative activities, setting priorities, and establishing internal control procedures to assign and track work. OR A master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. OR A combination of experience and education. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
