This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Learn more about this agency This job is open to The public U.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Duties Review and assess logistics operational shortfalls and identify opportunities for improvement in the logistics process. Plan, program and prioritize subordinate work requirements. Ensure all required equipment and supplies are on hand and designated personnel are selected, properly trained, and fully qualified to perform assigned duties. Conduct internal audits to validate that Logistics personnel are complying with procedural instructions and other published guidance. Develop requirements, maintain electronic records, and coordinate the physical disposition of all contingency stocks, including medical Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsible for creating, reviewing, standard operating procedures (SOP), and updating logistics instructions. Develop and implement work performance standards and evaluates work performance of subordinates. Requirements Conditions of employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Physical: This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. Tier 3(Secret): This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. This position has mandatory seasonal Influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal Influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire). Hepatitis B: Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position. This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% or less of the time. This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules. This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations. Inclement Weather Essential: Position is designated as Inclement Weather Essential. The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.
