Logistics Lead

About Us D.J. Wagner Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. is a growing commercial HVAC contractor serving New Jersey and surrounding areas. We specialize in commercial HVAC construction, service, and maintenance projects and are seeking a dependable, organized Logistics Lead to help keep our operations running efficiently. This position combines office coordination, warehouse management, and field support. The ideal candidate is comfortable coordinating logistics & handling materials from the field while also coordinating deliveries, solving problems, and supporting field operations. Position Summary The Logistics Lead role is responsible for the handling and staging of materials, equipment, tools, deliveries, and fleet resources onsite. This role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure the project has the resources needed to stay productive and on schedule. This is an active, hands-on, field-based position. Responsibilities Coordinate handling of material and equipment deliveries, and equipment tracking. Work with Project Managers to forecast project material needs. Schedule and monitor vendor shipments and jobsite deliveries. Maintain inventory records and stock levels. Manage equipment rentals, returns, and maintenance schedules. Coordinate company vehicle and fleet logistics. Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors. Verify onsite deliveries and material requirements. Assist with material staging and storage planning. Resolve delivery conflicts and material shortages. Support Superintendents and field crews with logistical needs. Perform jobsite material and equipment inspections. Ensure tools and equipment are properly tracked and maintained. Serve as a communication link between office staff and field personnel. Qualifications Required 3+ years of experience in logistics, construction operations, warehouse management, dispatching, or project coordination. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to obtain medical card, tow trailers, and drive box truck Ability to travel to local jobsites as needed. Preferred Experience in HVAC, mechanical construction, plumbing, electrical, or related trades. Knowledge of commercial construction operations. Experience managing inventory and equipment.
