Logistics Lead

Overview Metro Tech Electric Inc. is seeking a dynamic and highly organized Logistics Lead to lead our warehouse operations with energy and precision. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily distribution activities, managing inventory control, and ensuring seamless logistics processes. Duties Lead and supervise all warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling operations. Implement and maintain efficient warehouse processes Oversee the operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners to ensure safety and efficiency. Manage inventory control systems, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory management software Coordinate logistics with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and internal teams to streamline distribution center operations. Enforce OSHA safety standards and conduct regular safety audits to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Develop team leadership skills through managerial communication, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated workforce dedicated to operational excellence. Skills Supervisory experience in warehouse distribution, logistics, and supply chain management. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office tools. Strong leadership abilities with proven team management experience in warehouse supervision roles. Ability to operate heavy lifting equipment safely and efficiently; certification preferred. Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, materials handling, and e-commerce fulfillment processes. Excellent communication skills for managerial oversight, staff training, and cross-department collaboration.
