Logistics & Inventory Specialist – Contract Closeout
CMN, LLCJob Type: Temporary / Project-Based Pay: $18 per hour Location: North Charleston, SC About the Position CMN, LLC is seeking a dependable and highly organized Logistics & Inventory Specialist to assist with the closeout of a major project. As the contract comes to an end, this position will be responsible for helping inventory, organize, break down, pack, and coordinate the shipment of project materials and storage equipment from the job site to our Arkansas facility. This is a hands-on position. The ideal candidate is someone who can maintain accurate inventory records while also being willing to physically work in the warehouse/storage area to ensure the site is completely and properly closed out. Key Responsibilities Conduct and maintain an accurate inventory of all remaining project materials, tools, equipment, and supplies Identify, label, organize, and document materials prior to shipment Reconcile physical inventory against existing inventory records and identify discrepancies Break down shelving, storage racks, and other applicable storage equipment for transport Sort and prepare materials and equipment for shipment Properly package, label, palletize, and stage items for transportation Maintain detailed packing lists and shipment documentation Coordinate with CMN management, project personnel, carriers, and the receiving team in Arkansas Track outgoing shipments and maintain records of what was shipped, quantity, destination, and shipment status Photograph/document equipment and materials as needed before shipment Assist with loading and unloading materials as required Ensure the storage/work area is cleared and left in appropriate condition at the completion of the project Immediately communicate damaged, missing, excess, or unaccounted-for materials Provide general logistical and closeout support as needed What We're Looking For We need someone who is extremely organized and detail-oriented but isn't afraid of physical work . A big part of this job is making sure CMN knows exactly what we have, where it went, and that nothing gets left behind during contract closeout. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, keeping detailed records, using spreadsheets, and coordinating shipments while also spending a significant portion of the day working directly with inventory and equipment. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in logistics, inventory control, warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, material management, or project closeout; proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience preparing freight or palletized shipments; ability to use basic hand and power tools for shelving/equipment disassembly; strong documentation and organizational skills; and the ability to safely lift and move materials as required. Project Duration This is a temporary/project-based position associated with contract closeout. The primary objective of this role is to successfully complete inventory reconciliation, site breakdown, and shipment of CMN materials and equipment to Arkansas before the contract ends in November.
