Logistics Fulfillment Specialist
ConfidentialLogistics Fulfillment Specialist Locations: Tacoma and Kent, WA Job Type: Temporary / Contract (with Temp-to-Hire potential) Shifts: Day, Evening, and Weekend (overtime may be required) Pay: $17.00 – $22.00 per hour, depending on shift and experience A Day in the Life You clock in, grab your RF scanner, and review the morning pick tickets in the Warehouse Management System. First up: customer orders. You navigate the aisles, pick accurately, and pack with care—labels on, goods wrapped and flat-packed so they travel safely. Pallets are staged and wrapped tight before you help load outbound trailers, making sure every shipment is secure and accounted for. Mid-shift, a trailer backs in. You help unload, compare items against the manifest, sort product by destination, and note any visible damage. Inventory needs attention too: you assist with daily counts, cycle checks, and shelf replenishment so on-hand quantities match what’s in the system. Throughout the day, you move materials with hand trucks, dollies, and pallet jacks; on-site instruction for electric pallet jack and forklift is available if you need it. What You’ll Tackle Pick and pack customer orders using RF scanners, pick lists, and a WMS; label, wrap, and flat-pack for shipment. Assemble and stage packing lists; shrink-wrap pallets and help load outbound trucks efficiently and safely. Provide value-added services such as light assembly, rework/repacking, labeling, and ticketing when requested. Receive inbound freight: unload trailers, verify paperwork, sort by SKU/destination, and inspect for damage. Support inventory health with stock checks, cycle counts, and replenishment to keep shelves and system in sync. Operate manual and powered material handling equipment (hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks) safely. Safety First Keep aisles clear and work areas tidy—remove shrink wrap, pallets, and cardboard to maintain a safe environment. Complete simple pre-use equipment checks and report issues right away. Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE (including closed-toe footwear) at all times. What You Bring Background in warehousing, distribution, or logistics is helpful; motivated entry-level candidates are encouraged (training provided). Comfort with RF devices or basic inventory software is a plus. Reliable and on time—strong attendance and punctuality. Problem-solving mindset, solid time management, and the ability to quickly follow verbal directions and safety alerts. Physical Realities Lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. On your feet for the full shift with frequent walking, bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching.
