Role Description The Logistics Facilitator/Broker is a full-time position in a hybrid work arrangement, based in the Charleston, South Carolina Metropolitan Area with some work-from-home flexibility. In this role, the team member will coordinate freight movements between carriers and customers, secure capacity, and negotiate rates to ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery. Daily responsibilities include monitoring shipments, providing real-time status updates, resolving service issues, and maintaining accurate records in company systems. The role also involves cultivating strong relationships with carriers and customers, analyzing logistics data to improve performance, and collaborating with internal colleagues to support overall operational excellence. Qualifications Experience in freight brokerage or logistics coordination, including carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, and load planning. Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, timely updates and manage expectations for carriers and clients. Proficiency with logistics software, transportation management systems, and standard office tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, and call platforms). Solid organizational and time-management skills, including attention to detail, multitasking, and working effectively in a fast-paced environment. Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address service disruptions, optimize routes, and support cost-effective solutions. Ability to work both on-site in the Charleston, SC Metropolitan Area and remotely, demonstrating reliability and accountability in a hybrid setting. High ethical standards and commitment to honesty, service, and professional conduct in interactions with customers and carriers. Previous experience in transportation, supply chain, or related fields is preferred; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a similar discipline is beneficial but not required.
