Status: Full-Time | Immediate Hire
Schedule: Availability to work 2nd shift 4:00pm-12:00am or 3rd shift 12:00am-8:00am, scheduling determined by union seniority.

About the Role:
As a Logistics Equipment Specialist, you will be essential to the safe and efficient movement of shipping containers within our intermodal yard. Operating advanced equipment—such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders—you will load, unload, and relocate containers as part of our logistics operations, ensuring they are handled accurately and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to properly position containers and chassis within the yard.
• Utilize top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes to stack, move, and arrange containers.
• Conduct equipment inspections pre- and post-use to ensure operational safety.
• Communicate effectively with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate tasks.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Flexibility to work schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs both off and on railcars.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check, physical and drug screening.
• Open availability.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in intermodal or rail yard operations.
• Familiarity with container handling equipment such as hostlers, top loaders, or cranes.
• CDL or equipment certifications are a plus, but not required.
