Logistics Customer Service Representative, OTR
M&P LogisticsRole Overview M&P Logistics is seeking an experienced Logistics Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our growing brokerage team. We need someone who understands freight operations, knows how to manage shipments from pickup to delivery, and can confidently communicate with customers, brokers, and carriers. Previous hands-on logistics experience is REQUIRED. Whether you've worked as a Logistics Coordinator (LC), Freight Broker, Transportation Coordinator, or Logistics CSR, we want to hear from you! Our brokerage operates with a team-based structure: Freight Brokers: Bring in new business and manage customer relationships. Carrier Relations Representatives: Source carriers, negotiate rates, and secure freight coverage. Customer Service Representatives: Manage customer communication, shipment tracking, documentation, and daily service needs. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the operational side of logistics, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in keeping freight moving and customers happy. What You'll Do Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned brokers' customers. Track and manage shipments from pickup through final delivery. Provide accurate ETAs, load statuses, and proactive customer updates. Communicate with carriers, brokers, and internal teams to coordinate freight movements. Identify and resolve shipment delays, missed appointments, and service issues. Assist with load entry, scheduling, rate confirmations, and transportation documentation. Review BOLs, PODs, invoices, and other shipment paperwork for accuracy. Maintain accurate shipment records in transportation management systems (TMS) and customer portals. Manage multiple active shipments while prioritizing urgent customer needs. Support brokers with daily operational responsibilities so they can focus on growing their business. What Makes This Opportunity Different Not a Call Center: You'll support assigned brokers and their customers while building meaningful business relationships. Team-Based Brokerage: Work alongside Freight Brokers and Carrier Representatives with clearly defined responsibilities. Established Support: Hands-on leadership, daily collaboration, and experienced team members available to help. Industry-Leading Tools: Access to technology and resources to help you manage shipments efficiently. Focus on Operations: Perfect for someone who knows logistics but prefers shipment coordination and customer service over sales prospecting. Opportunity to Grow: Continue developing your skills within a growing logistics company. Is This Role Right for You? You already have experience in freight brokerage, logistics coordination, or transportation customer service. You understand how freight moves and what it takes to manage shipments successfully. You're comfortable communicating with customers, carriers, and internal teams. You know the importance of proactive updates rather than waiting for customers to ask. You're organized, detail-oriented, and capable of juggling multiple loads. You can troubleshoot problems and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. You take ownership of your responsibilities and follow through until the job is done. You enjoy working with a team and contributing to shared success.
