Logistics Coordinator-Nights This position has a 4-on/4-off schedule so the days of the week that you work will consistantly be shifting. Work 4 days and then off for 4 days. Each shift will be 6PM-6AM and you will be assisting with our Texas market. Position Summary The Fuel Transport Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the daily delivery of petroleum products while ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations. This position serves as the central point of communication between drivers, customers, terminals, refineries, and management to maintain customer inventory, maximize fleet utilization, and provide exceptional service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Dispatch & Fleet Management Dispatch fuel transport drivers to ensure safe, timely, and efficient deliveries. Balance work assignments among drivers while maximizing productive driving time and equipment utilization. Continuously adjust schedules throughout the day based on customer demand, traffic, weather, refinery delays, equipment availability, and operational priorities. Coordinate shift transitions through detailed documentation and communication to ensure continuity of operations. Tank Monitoring & Inventory Management Continuously monitor customer fuel tank levels using tank monitoring systems. Update tank readings and customer inventory information throughout each shift. Operate multiple load generation systems to proactively schedule deliveries before customers reach critical inventory levels. Plan deliveries to prevent runouts while avoiding overfills and complying with customer delivery windows. Order Management Receive, enter, update, and manage customer fuel orders across multiple dispatch, supplier, customer, and terminal platforms. Verify order accuracy and ensure all delivery information is current. Coordinate changes to customer orders as operational needs evolve throughout the day. Customer & Driver Support Serve as the primary communication link between drivers, customers, terminals, refineries, and company personnel. Respond promptly to operational issues, customer requests, delivery concerns, and driver questions. Maintain professional communication while providing timely updates regarding delivery schedules and service issues. Refinery & Terminal Coordination Monitor refinery allocations throughout the day as product is lifted and allocation balances change. Track customer allocations across refinery and supplier portals. Immediately notify management when allocation shortages may impact customer service and assist in developing alternative supply plans. Coordinate refinery rack changes when operationally necessary. Fuel Market & Delivery Planning Monitor daily wholesale fuel pricing and market activity. Strategically schedule deliveries to maximize pricing opportunities while meeting customer requirements. Plan branded and unbranded fuel deliveries around supplier pricing changes and operational timelines. Assist in minimizing transportation costs while maintaining customer service expectations.
