Logistics Coordinator - Modular & Container
Marex Services GroupRead This First: No Logistics Experience Required We can teach you freight. We can't teach drive. We're looking for someone who has outworked the people around them, in any job. Maybe you ran a restaurant shift, worked a sales floor, served in the military, played competitive sports, worked construction or a warehouse, or put yourself through school working two jobs. What matters is that you show up, pick up the phone, and keep pushing until the job is done. This is not a coast-through desk job. The work is fast, the problems are real, and the person in this seat earns their results. If that sounds like what you've been looking for, keep reading. About Marex and the Work Marex Services Group is a technology-enabled logistics company delivering high-impact transportation solutions across industrial, construction, energy, infrastructure, and specialized project markets. Our Modular & Container division moves freight that doesn't fit in a standard trailer and can't be late. On any given week, you could be working on: High-volume deliveries of prefabricated buildings , including blast-resistant structures headed to industrial, government and energy sites, temporary workforce housing for data centers and other large project sites, and permanent housing structures for remote locations. Sourcing specialized heavy-haul equipment , and vetting carriers that are capable of moving the types of units described. Multimodal project moves that take modular buildings by truck and ocean to offshore destinations, with port cutoffs, permits, and many handoffs to manage. Container moves across multiple lanes and regions servicing mega projects Project planning and consulting , working closely with the client and vendors to evaluate the scope of a proposed project and coming up with solutions to potential issues that the client may not be considering. No two days look the same, and every request, load or project proposal has a customer waiting on it. We offer value by solving problems they cannot solve themselves. Key Responsibilities Coordinate truck moves for modular buildings, containers, and project cargo from first call to final delivery. Call carriers and equipment vendors to find capacity and specialized trailers, negotiate rates within approved guidelines, and lock in the details. Track every shipment and get ahead of delays, equipment problems, and schedule changes before the customer has to ask. Help plan larger project moves: load sequencing, delivery windows, permits, and handoffs between truck, port, and ocean legs. Keep customers and internal teams updated by phone and email, clearly and on time. Keep load records, rate confirmations, and delivery paperwork accurate and current in our systems. Take on whatever the day needs, whether that's a last-minute load, a rental pickup, or a problem nobody else has solved yet. Point out what's slowing the team down and help fix it. What We're Looking For Required A track record of hard work in any industry. Tell us about the job where you outworked everyone. Comfort on the phone all day, including calling people you've never met and asking for what you need. Ability to connect with and build relationships with a wide range of personalities. Follow-through. When you say it's handled, it's handled. Clear, professional writing. Much of this job happens over email. Coachability. You take feedback, apply it fast, and don't need to be told twice. Organization and attention to detail, even when several things are on fire. A sense of pride in your responsibilities and the sense of urgency required to get them done at a high level. Nice to Have (Not Required) Any experience in trucking, freight brokerage, dispatch, or logistics. Experience in construction, heavy equipment, or industrial work. Sales or customer service experience. Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Teams).
