About Marex Services Group Marex Services Group is a technology-enabled logistics company delivering high-impact transportation solutions across industrial, construction, energy, infrastructure, and specialized project markets. Our Finished Goods division runs domestic open-deck trucking for precast concrete, fabricated pipe, steel, scaffolding, and other construction materials. We move fast, execute with precision, and operate with accountability. At Marex, performance matters. Ownership matters. Execution matters. Read This First: The Schedule and the Pace This role works Saturday through Wednesday , every week, with Thursday and Friday off. This is a set schedule, not a rotation, so please apply only if a weekend workweek fits your life. Volume: You will help move 60+ loads per day. The desk is busy from start to finish, and juggling many shipments at once is the job. Weekends: On Saturdays and Sundays you are the Finished Goods desk. You run the day on your own, with an on-call manager available for escalations and decisions above your authority. Once you are trained, you can work weekend shifts from home if you prefer. Weekdays: Monday through Wednesday you work alongside the full team, which is where most of your training and coaching happens. What a week could look like once you're ramped up: Saturday and Sunday from about 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Monday through Wednesday from about 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. Hours during training may differ, and they may shift as the desk and the business grow. For the right person, the schedule is a plus: weekdays off for appointments and errands, and real ownership of the desk early in your career. Position Overview The Logistics Coordinator keeps a high-volume open-deck desk moving. You will book, track, and close out spot and project loads of precast, pipe, steel, and scaffolding, and you will be the first person carriers and customers hear from when something changes. This is an early-career role built for someone with one to two years in trucking or brokerage who wants to grow fast. We will train you on our systems, our lanes, and our customers. We need you to bring speed, follow-through, and the judgment to know when to handle it and when to call it in. Key Responsibilities Coordinate 60+ daily domestic open-deck loads (flatbed, step-deck, and over-dimensional) across multiple lanes, keeping every load moving from tender to delivery. Book spot freight quickly while keeping scheduled project shipments on sequence and on time. Source carriers, negotiate rates within approved guidelines, and confirm equipment, securement, and permit needs before dispatch. Track every load from pickup through delivery and get ahead of delays, breakdowns, and appointment changes. Run the Finished Goods desk on Saturdays and Sundays: handle carrier and customer issues independently, and escalate to the on-call manager anything outside your authority, such as rate exceptions, claims, or safety concerns. Keep load records, rate confirmations, PODs, and status updates accurate and current in our TMS, so the next shift and accounting can work from them. Send customers clear, proactive updates, especially when plans change. Hand off cleanly at the end of each shift and each weekend so nothing is dropped. Flag repeat problems and suggest fixes that make the desk faster and more reliable. Qualifications Required 1–2 years in freight brokerage, dispatch, trucking coordination, or a similar fast-paced logistics role. Availability to work Saturday through Wednesday on an ongoing basis. Proven ability to manage many shipments at once without losing track of details. Comfort working independently on weekends and making sound calls under time pressure. Clear, professional communication by phone, email, and text. Strong attention to detail in documentation and data entry. Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet workspace for remote weekend shifts. Preferred Experience with flatbed, step-deck, or other open-deck fr…
