Logistics Coordinator

Supply Chain Solutions is a third party logistics (3PL) company specializing in Managed Transportation Services. We are located in Coon Rapids, MN.

We are seeking to fill a full-time Logistics Coordinator role on our operations team. Position requires a minimum of one year of freight brokerage experience.

Position is located in Coon Rapids, MN and is NOT a remote position.

Summary

Responsible for interacting with office and service providers in order to deliver exceptional customer service and provide information in response to inquiries about the status of shipment pickups and deliveries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Sets up day-to-day shipments for house account customers
2. Builds customer loads and assigns carriers to the loads by finding the most optimal carrier and cost.
3. Dispatches shipments.
4. Responsible for tracking and tracing shipments.
5. Monitors and answers daily emails and phone calls.
6. Ensures on-time deliveries.
7. Communicates all delays and issues with carriers, customers, and internal staff, as necessary.
8. Schedules all pickup and delivery appointments with shippers and receivers.
9. Prepares customer reports as required.
10. Handles variances and claims.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear; uses hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. On occasion, the colleague may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The colleague may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

The position is an office-based position.

Education and/or Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year experience in logistics, supply chain, freight and/or transportation industry or combination of experience and relevant education.
