Position Summary As a Logistics Coordinator at SFI Global Logistics, you will support brokerage performance by coordinating carrier shipments, monitoring freight movements, maintaining shipment and carrier information, and helping ensure profit margins meet expectations. You will work with internal teams and third-party carriers to support reliable freight coverage and efficient order execution. Your Responsibilities Shipment Management // Monitor shipment movements to ensure scheduled pickups and deliveries move as planned Carrier Coordination // Locate third-party carrier solutions, maintain strong professional carrier relationships, and manage partner-carrier dispatch Systems & Documentation // Update the TMS with shipment information and carrier profiles and execute or submit required contracts, insurance certificates, and carrier paperwork Brokerage Performance // Maintain current market awareness, review carrier performance, and maximize shipment profit margins within company guidelines Team Collaboration // Coordinate with internal staff, the safety department, and SFI Global Logistics terminals to support freight execution and resolve partner-carrier issues Training & Development // Participate in mandatory training and other training appropriate to the position Operational Support // Assist with customer orders during off-hours as part of the position's on-call responsibility and perform other duties as assigned Your Skillset Carrier Coordination // Ability to work with third-party carriers and internal teams to support successful freight movement Market Awareness // Ability to monitor carrier rates and market conditions to support competitive pricing and margin expectations Communication // Ability to maintain effective professional relationships and open communication with carriers and internal teams Shipment Monitoring // Ability to track pickup and delivery activity and identify issues affecting scheduled freight movement Documentation // Ability to maintain shipment, carrier, contract, insurance, and related transportation records accurately Collaboration // Ability to coordinate across operational departments to support efficient order execution Minimum Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalent, and at least one (1) year of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or a similar role. An equivalent combination may be considered. Employment Screening // Employment is contingent upon completion of the SFI Global Logistics employment process, including a background check Preferred Qualifications An associate degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field, and at least two (2) years of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or a similar role.
