Wimmer SolutionsThe Logistics Analyst I supports day-to-day transportation and logistics operations across the supply chain network. This entry-level role works closely with carriers, distribution centers, customer service teams, and internal stakeholders to help ensure shipments are delivered safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Logistics, the Logistics Analyst assists with transportation reporting, freight data analysis, carrier performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Transportation Operations Monitor daily shipment activity across multiple transportation modes, including Truckload (TL), Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), Parcel, and Intermodal. Assist with tracking shipments and resolving delivery issues in a timely manner. Support communication between carriers, distribution centers, and internal teams. Carrier Performance Support Maintain carrier performance scorecards and transportation metrics. Assist in monitoring carrier service levels, compliance, and delivery performance. Help coordinate issue resolution with transportation providers. Analytics & Reporting Support transportation spend tracking and freight invoice review. Analyze freight data and transportation trends to identify cost-saving opportunities. Prepare routine reports and dashboards using Excel and other reporting tools. Assist with tariff updates and transportation cost entries. Team & Project Support Support transportation-related projects and process improvement initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve transportation efficiency. Help document transportation procedures and best practices. Assist with training materials and process documentation as needed. Compliance & Documentation Maintain transportation records and documentation. Support transportation audits and compliance requirements. Promote safe and efficient transportation practices. Required Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, operations, customer service, or a related field. Internship, co-op, or relevant coursework in supply chain or logistics may be considered in lieu of experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas, sorting, filtering, and reporting. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (or currently pursuing degree). Exposure to Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ERP systems, or logistics software. Experience working with transportation, warehouse, or distribution operations. Familiarity with freight terms, carrier operations, or supply chain processes.
