Logistics Coordinator
Teknion LtdThe Logistics Coordinator will provide support to the Toronto Consolidation and Logistics operational team, to ensure the effective management of all Consolidation activities. They will also work as a key member of the team supporting the Teknion manufacturing plants; as well coordinating with the Quebec Consolidation centre team. Responsibilities: Support the logistics operations team by providing day to day leadership and guidance Work in collaboration with the logistics support group to load-plan, maintain quality standards, manage packaging and claims issues Inspect items/products arriving at the Consolidation centre and advise of any damages or other issues and possible corrective actions Work with Manufacturing locations and other FCC locations to replace lost or damaged product as necessary Ensure all internal control systems are in place, maintained and functioning adequately Support and liase with Teknion Manufacturing Plants regarding labelling, and provide client solutions and transportation pricing requests Must be able to communicate effectively to support and promote Teknion’s core values Develop and maintain positive business relationships with vendors Analyze and prepare various reports to support business development and growth Analyze logistical problems and develop new solutions as required Work closely with the logistics group in our Quebec facility to ensure all logistics practices and systems changes and requirements are consistent Ensure all logistics-related operations are following applicable health and safety and all other rules and regulations Qualifications: Diploma in Logistics Management/Planning 5-10 years of progressive experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong communication, presentation, organizational and problem-solving skills Understanding of Teknion’s operational and manufacturing process Understanding of Teknion’s business practices and products Able to adapt and work well in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication, organization, leadership, decision making and time management skills Assertive and professional in the building of relationships Ability to learn, adapt and apply new systems, techniques and technologies Strong computer skills including Google Office, Microsoft Word and Excel, ERP The expected base salary range for this position $49,330 - $61,675. Final base salary offers will reflect an assessment of the selected candidate's skills, demonstrated competencies, and adherence to our internal pay equity framework.
