The Logistics Coordinator supports the day-to-day shipping and receiving activities of the facility under the direction of the Logistics Manager. This position works closely with the Logistics Manager, warehouse personnel, carriers, drivers, customers, and internal departments to help ensure inbound and outbound shipments are processed accurately, properly documented, and completed according to the established schedule. This is a hands-on position that combines administrative and warehouse responsibilities, including processing incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing shipping documentation, maintaining accurate shipment records, communicating with drivers and customers, and assisting on the shipping dock as needed. Work Schedule: The regular work schedule for this position is: Monday–Thursday: 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. Friday: 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. Additional hours or schedule adjustments may occasionally be required based on operational and shipping needs. Duties/Responsibilities: Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers’ count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing officer per company policy. Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments. Carefully and accurately maintains shipping records for requested categories, including goods returned, dunnage, and returnable pallets. Maintains a database of shipment data to ensure that customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments as required. Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions. Coordinates with customers on pick up requests. Prepares bills of lading and dray tickets for shipments. Transports materials on the shipping dock with a hand truck or other vehicle as needed. Performs clerical duties. Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received. Basic understanding of dock and warehouse procedures. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports. Preferably proficient in NetSuite Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. A state motor vehicle operator’s permit for operation of a forklift is highly preferred. Physical Requirements: Must be able to traverse the distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching. Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times. Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
