Logistics Coordinator

Shapiro is looking for a Logistics Coordinator II to play a critical role in coordinating shipments, supporting customer fulfillment, and ensuring efficient movement of materials across our transportation network. In this role, you will work closely with customers, carriers, internal stakeholders, and operations teams to manage transportation activities, resolve shipping challenges, and provide exceptional customer service. If you enjoy problem-solving, multitasking, and building strong business relationships, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do Coordinate and execute domestic and export shipments. Review projected shipments to ensure contract compliance. Schedule customer deliveries using both automated and manual systems. Work with internal departments and customers to adjust contract requirements as needed. Tender freight to both company fleet and commercial carriers. Coordinate export shipments with steamship lines and freight forwarders. Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve transportation issues. Track and report shipment costs and operational metrics. Order and monitor railcar movements, including bills of lading and shipping documentation. Maintain accurate reports and records in accordance with company standards. Collaborate across departments to ensure timely and successful customer fulfillment. What We're Looking For Associate degree or Bachelor's degree preferred 1-3+ years of logistics, transportation, supply chain, or customer service experience Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills Why Join Shapiro?
