Logistics Coordinator

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to drive efficiency across our supply chain operations. Duties Manage warehouse distribution activities, including inventory control, stocking, and materials handling to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. Oversee transportation planning and freight management using transportation management systems (TMS) to optimize delivery routes and reduce shipping costs. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors through sourcing, procurement, and vendor management to secure competitive pricing and reliable delivery schedules. Utilize data analysis skills with tools like Tableau, Excel data analysis, SQL, and spreadsheets to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze trends, and identify root causes for process improvements. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards for import/export activities. Collaborate cross-functionally with production planning, customer service, and warehouse operations teams to streamline processes and improve overall supply chain efficiency. Maintain accurate records within ERP systems such as AS400 or warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking, order processing, and shipping & receiving documentation. Qualifications Proven experience practicing in a supply chain operations role with a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, and transportation management systems (TMS). Demonstrated skills in data collection, analysis using Excel or SQL, root cause analysis, and process improvement methodologies. Familiarity with procurement processes including sourcing, pricing negotiations, contracts, vendor management, and freight logistics. Hands-on experience with warehouse distribution activities such as stocking, manual handling (including forklift operation), shipping & receiving, and materials handling. Knowledge of international trade regulations and trade compliance standards is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge or experience working with NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) or 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) providers is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration; customer service orientation is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel for data analysis; familiarity with ERP systems like AS400 or similar platforms preferred.
