Aston CarterLocation: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) - Elgin, IL Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (flexible hours; occasional overtime may be required) Duration: 6-12 Month Contract Pay Rate: Up to $25/hour Type: Temporary Contract Travel: None Position Overview We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support international shipping, export compliance, and cross-border logistics operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of goods across domestic and international supply chains while maintaining compliance with global trade regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in international logistics, export documentation, trade compliance, and coordination with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs agencies. Key Responsibilities Execute international shipping and export compliance activities. File export declarations through ACE/AESDirect and obtain required ITNs. Conduct Restricted and Denied Party Screening in compliance with EAR and ITAR regulations. Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documentation, including: Commercial Invoices Air Waybills Bills of Lading Country of Origin documentation Manage cross-border shipments between the United States, Canada, and Mexico, including USMCA and CARM requirements. Ensure compliance with C-TPAT standards and dangerous goods regulations, including lithium-ion battery shipments. Investigate and resolve shipping delays, customs holds, and other logistics issues. Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs officials, and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time deliveries. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in international logistics, export operations, or global trade compliance. Strong knowledge of: EAR (Export Administration Regulations) ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) FTR (Foreign Trade Regulations) USMCA C-TPAT Experience using ACE/AESDirect. Experience working within Oracle ERP and Global Trade Management systems. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience supporting Canada and Mexico cross-border shipments. Knowledge of dangerous goods shipping requirements. Experience handling customs documentation and clearance processes. Work Environment Hybrid work schedule with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Office-based environment. No lifting requirements.
