Logistics Coordinator

Position Overview MLM Transport is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team. This position plays an important role in coordinating daily freight operations, managing shipments, and delivering exceptional service to our customers. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Previous freight brokerage experience is preferred, particularly in drayage operations, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily freight operations, including scheduling, dispatching, tracking, and delivery confirmation. Source and communicate with carriers to arrange transportation and ensure reliable service. Assist with freight quoting, rate negotiations, and booking shipments. Monitor shipments in transit, provide proactive updates, and resolve delays or service disruptions. Coordinate with customers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely pickups and deliveries. Maintain accurate shipment information and documentation within the Transportation Management System (TMS). Identify and resolve operational challenges while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Collaborate with sales and operations teams to support existing customer accounts. Serve as a primary point of contact for customer and carrier communications. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications & Skills Prior drayage or port transportation experience is highly preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proficiency with computers, email, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
