Job Description : We're looking for an energized, organized builder: someone who brings structure to a busy day and gets things done. Working closely with the manufacturing team, you'll keep material moving from vendor to receiving, from receiving to line, and from line to customer. You’ll own inventory purchasing and vendor follow-through, receiving, and outbound shipping and customs. On the manufacturing floor, you’ll keep inventory accurate and stocked through cycle counts and kanban replenishment. We're a scale-up, so many of our processes are still being built, and you'll help build them. This individual contributor role will grow with you as our volumes increase. We're happy to train the right person. More than anything, we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the initiative to jump in and figure things out. You don't need to have experience in every aspect of the role, but you should be organized, dependable, and eager to develop new skills. Key Responsibilities : Shipping & Receiving Pick, pack, and ship finished motors and spare parts to domestic and international customers, following our packaging standards, including requirements for shipping magnetized material. Book freight; prepare shipping labels, commercial invoices, and export/import documents; and share tracking with customers and the sales team. Work with freight forwarders and customs brokers to clear shipments without delay, and maintain HS codes, country-of-origin data, and trade records for our products and purchased parts. Receive incoming shipments: check quantities against POs and packing slips, inspect for damage, and route parts to incoming inspection where required. Record receipts in the ERP on the same day, put stock away to its labelled location, and resolve discrepancies (short shipments, wrong parts, damage) with suppliers. Purchasing & Vendor Management Place purchase orders for stocked inventory and consumables based on kanban signals and the production schedule. Act as the day-to-day contact for our vendors, including machine shops and custom-part suppliers, and build relationships that keep orders on time and on spec. For custom parts, issue POs with the correct drawing revision and specifications, and confirm in writing that the vendor has accepted the quantity, price, and delivery date. Track open orders from PO to receipt. Check in at key milestones, chase late or at-risk orders early, and escalate to the Manufacturing Manager before a delay affects the production schedule. Coordinate first-article and incoming inspection with Engineering and Quality, and work with vendors to resolve nonconforming parts, returns, and rework. Keep supplier lead times, pricing, and item data current in the ERP, and log vendor issues such as late deliveries and quality problems so recurring problems can be raised with the vendor. Inventory Control & Accuracy Own inventory accuracy in the ERP: run a regular cycle count program, find the root cause of variances, and keep on-hand balances, stock locations, and item data current. Run a scheduled water spider route through the production floor, collecting empty kanban bins and cards and refilling point-of-use locations from the stockroom supermarket so the line never stops for missing parts. Trigger reorders when quantities reach their kanban reorder point, and flag excess, slow-moving, or obsolete stock.
