Career Overview The Carrier Relations Representative (CRR) at M&P Logistics plays a critical role in supporting our growing brokerage team by serving as the primary carrier-facing point of contact for assigned brokers and their freight. CRRs build and maintain strong carrier relationships, secure capacity, negotiate rates, and keep loads moving smoothly from pickup to delivery. Our sales structure is intentionally team-based Freight Brokers bring on new business and manage customer relationships Carrier Representatives manage carrier relationships and coverage CSRs handle day-to-day customer communication, shipment updates, and service support This role is ideal for someone with prior logistics experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys negotiation and problem-solving, and takes pride in building strong partnerships. What You’ll Do Source, onboard, and manage carrier relationships to secure reliable capacity. Book loads with carriers and negotiate rates based on market conditions and lane strategy. Work closely with freight brokers to execute loads profitably and efficiently. Track shipments, monitor milestones, and communicate with carriers to prevent and resolve issues. Confirm pickup and delivery details, appointment times, and special requirements. Manage exceptions such as delays, breakdowns, reworks, and service failures with urgency and professionalism. Ensure accurate documentation including rate confirmations, carrier packets, and load notes. Maintain clean, detailed records in the TMS and support compliance requirements as needed. Build a dependable carrier network that supports long-term growth and consistent service. How You Make More Money This is a salary plus commission role. You have previous experience in logistics sales/freight brokering, dispatch, carrier sales, or freight operations. You enjoy negotiating and building partnerships, not just “checking in.” You are organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple loads at once. You move fast, communicate clearly, and stay calm under pressure. You take ownership and follow through until the job is done. Qualifications Prior logistics or transportation experience required (brokerage, carrier sales, dispatch, operations, or similar). Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable using logistics technology and quick to learn new systems. Strong attention to detail and documentation habits.
