Logistics/Buyer (Mat Leave Contract)
Recruiting For LessOur Mississauga client is in the automotive parts sector is looking for a highly organized individual to join their purchasing staff to manage overseas shipments. This is a 12-14 month mat leave contract. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience, be a comfortable user of the Microsoft Suite of applications (especially Excel), as well as possess good spoken and written English skills. The candidate should have a purchasing certification / education on a university / college level. Responsibilities: Manage overseas freight and logistics Experience of dealing with custom or custom broker, freight agents/forwarders Arrange with truckers to pickup shipment from bonded warehouses Handling shipments coming through oversea to Canada/USA. Experience coordinating freight logistics and knowledge of transportation documentation (i.e. Customs, NAFTA, Bill of lading) are assets Knowledge of car/truck parts an asset Some purchasing experience Salary: 45-55k, benefits, PTO
