Position Purpose The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for the efficient, accurate, and safe operation of the company’s warehouse, inventory, inbound logistics, and outbound order fulfillment functions. The position ensures that finished goods received from the company’s parent organization and vendors are properly coordinated, received, stored, maintained, picked, and shipped to support customer demand and company service expectations. This role provides hands-on leadership to the warehouse team while maintaining strong inventory controls, managing freight and carrier relationships, monitoring warehouse performance, and identifying opportunities to improve productivity, accuracy, service, and cost effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations · Manage daily end-to-end warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and inventory movement. · Establish daily work priorities, workflow, and staffing schedules to meet fluctuating order volumes and service level agreements (SLAs). Establish daily work priorities and ensure appropriate staffing and workflow to meet order volume and service requirements Maintain an organized, efficient, clean, and safe first warehouse environment in compliance to regulatory standards · Optimize warehouse layout, slotting strategies, storage utilization, and material flow to reduce travel time and handling costs. Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all warehouse functions Monitor productivity, order accuracy, shipping performance, and other key warehouse metrics Inbound Logistics Coordinate inbound shipments of finished goods from the parent company based on demand and expected delivery schedules Maintain visibility to incoming shipments and communicate expected arrival dates, delays, shortages, or other issues to appropriate departments Serve as the primary point of contact for freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics partners Ensure incoming shipments are received accurately and timely and discrepancies or damages are properly documented and resolved Inventory Management & Control Maintain high physical and system inventory accuracy through rigorous process controls and daily oversight Oversee cycle counting and physical inventory activities Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement preventative and corrective actions Monitor damaged, obsolete, slow-moving, returned, or otherwise non-saleable inventory and ensure proper financial disposition Ensure all inventory transactions, adjustments, transfers, and product movements are accurately recorded in real-time Order Fulfillment & Outbound Logistics Oversee the accurate and timely picking, packing, and shipment of customer orders Monitor order fulfillment performance and resolve issues that could affect customer service Manage day-to-day relationships with parcel, LTL, freight, and other transportation providers Monitor freight costs and carrier performance to identify opportunities to improve service or reduce expenses Coordinate expedited or special shipments when business needs dictate Team Leadership Mentor, train, and develop warehouse employees, fostering a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement Set clear performance expectations around productivity, accuracy, attendance, and safety Assign work and adjust staffing priorities based on daily business requirements Drive hiring, onboarding, performance management, employee development, and corrective action processes Build cross-training within the warehouse to provide appropriate coverage for critical funct…
