Logistics and Freight Coordinator

Overview As a Logistics and Freight Coordinator, you’ll keep goods moving from suppliers through warehouse operations to their destinations. You’ll coordinate freight, shipping and receiving, inventory, and order fulfillment while partnering across supply chain, purchasing, production, and customer service teams. Your impact: Accurate, timely coordination helps customers receive orders as expected and helps teams maintain reliable inventory. Duties  Prepare and organize freight shipments for pickup and delivery.  Package, label, and stage freight according to carrier and customer requirements.  Coordinate transportation schedules with carriers, drivers, and internal teams.  Complete and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading and freight manifests.  Ensure shipments comply with company procedures and transportation regulations.  Track outgoing shipments and communicate status updates as needed.  Inspect freight for accuracy, damage, and proper packaging before shipment.  Load and unload shipments safely using appropriate equipment and procedures.  Maintain inventory records and shipping logs.  Assist with receiving incoming freight and verifying deliveries.  Keep shipping and staging areas clean, organized, and safe. Requirements  Experience in logistics, shipping, warehouse operations, or freight coordination preferred.  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.  Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.  Familiarity with shipping software and transportation documentation is a plus.  Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and email.  Effective communication skills.  Forklift certification is a plus but not required. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Ability to work in a warehouse or shipping environment. What We Offer  Flexible part-time schedule.
