Logistics and Dispatch Coordinator

Trucking Dispatch and Logistics Coordinator Tri County Pallet Reports To: Office Manager Position Overview Tri County Pallet is seeking an experienced, organized, and dependable Trucking Dispatch and Logistics Coordinator to manage daily transportation scheduling, driver dispatching, customer orders, and logistics operations for pallet and mulch deliveries. The ideal candidate has a background in trucking dispatch or transportation logistics, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate daily deliveries, pickups, and live loads using transportation management software. Assign drivers, plan efficient routes, and prepare daily and next-day schedules. Review driver logs for accuracy and make necessary corrections. Prepare and distribute shipping documentation. Monitor GPS tracking systems, delivery progress, and scheduling changes. Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries and resolve issues. Coordinate shipments with third-party transportation providers. Monitor inventory levels and schedule loads accordingly. Process customer orders, including recurring monthly orders, and maintain accurate records. Respond and answer customer inquiries via phone, emails and or walk in's. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in trucking dispatch, transportation scheduling, logistics coordination, or trucking-related administration required. Knowledge of trucking operations, route planning, and applicable DOT regulations preferred. Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills required. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing schedules. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Experience with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and QuickBooks online preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
