Logistics and Assembly Associate

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour Job description: Location: Projects across Maryland & Northern Virginia Schedule: Late May/Early June through August EKC is seeking hardworking to assist with large-scale technology deployments in schools. Our team is focused on assembling and deploying Interactive Flat Panels (IFP) on mobile carts. No AV experience is necessary. We will provide the training; we just need your energy, mechanical aptitude, and professional attitude. The Role You will be part of a two-person team responsible for the "Unbox, Assemble, and Move" phase of our projects. Unbox: Safely unpack interactive panels and mobile cart components. Assemble: Use basic hand/power tools to build mobile carts and mount panels to them. Deploy: Move assembled units into designated classrooms and stage them for use. Cleanup: Manage cardboard and packaging disposal to keep school hallways clear and safe. Work Environment & Travel Travel: This position requires significant travel within MD and Northern VA. Overnight travel may be required up to 100% of the time. Lodging: EKC provides a hotel room for each team member (no sharing) during overnight stays. Per Diem: A $50 per day per diem is provided for every day spent overnight. Physicality: This is a high-activity job. You should be comfortable lifting heavy equipment (with a partner), spending the day on your feet, and walking several miles through school facilities. Requirements Professionalism: You will be working in school environments. A quiet, professional demeanor and respectful language are required at all times. Reliability: Projects are on a strict summer timeline. Punctuality is essential. Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to use a drill and follow assembly instructions. Communication: Ability to take direction from a Lead Technician and work effectively as a duo. Clean Record: Must be able to pass a background check for working in school environments.
