Your responsibilities will include monitoring regulatory changes, supporting audits, resolving clearance issues, and analyzing data to reduce lead times and costs. Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the end-to-end import processes and documentation for global shipments
• Ensure adherence to customs, trade, and defense-related regulations (e.g., ITAR/EAR)
• Carry out HS classification, duty calculation, and tariff optimization
• Coordinate effectively with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal supply chain teams
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and assist in compliance audits and internal controls
• Resolve customs clearance issues and manage shipment delays
• Analyze import data to minimize lead times, costs, and compliance risks
• Maintain precise master data in ERP and trade systems
• Support cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing import and logistics processes
• Generate reports and KPIs for supply chain and management stakeholders
Required Skills:
• Expert knowledge of import/export documentation
• Understanding of customs regulations (both US and international)
• Proficient in HS classification and tariff analysis
• Experience in trade compliance and licensing (ITAR/EAR)
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills (Excel/BI tools)
• Ability to manage vendors and freight forwarders
• Competence in risk and audit management
• Knowledge of Incoterms and international logistics
• Focus on process improvement and standardization
