To learn more about us, please visit us at: http://www.lamexfoods.us The Opportunity: This position is primarily responsible for supporting the logistics team that coordinates shipments/traffic flow of goods from US/Canada for exportation to various countries by performing the duties listed below. Corresponds via daily emails and phone conversations to assist logistics staff. Demonstrates ability to prioritize daily and long-term tasks by effectively evaluating the urgency of duties and importance of maintaining all external and internal business relationships. Effectively communicates with logistics team to answer inquiries, facilitate requests, provide support, and address issues directly with steamship lines in daily workflow. Requests bookings on vessels that meets the needs of the booking coordinators’ requests including but not limited to cost-effectiveness and vessel scheduling. Communicates directly with Steamship Line Customer Service/Reps to gather, update and present accurate data to logistics team. Manages and distributes booking updates & notifications via email to the logistics team as vendor changes arise. Escalates any issues with securing bookings on preferred vessels to management. Sends weekly reports to Commercial, Management and Logistics team. Responsible for accurate data entry into internal system and databases. Meet project deadlines & goals set forth by Logistics Management. Assist administrative team with reviewing, validating and approving vendor invoices or other tasks outlined by management as needed. Who you are: You have strong computer literacy and experience with Microsoft office products. You have unparalleled attention to detail, ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once, and handle a fast-paced environment. You are a self-starter. You can work independently as well as being willing and able to contribute to a team. You have strong oral and written communication skills. You have a 4-year College Degree (preferred).
