ConfidentialJob Overview Logistics Administrator Company: SandPile Services Location: Midland, TX — in office (this is not a remote or hybrid role) Reports to: Logistics Manager Schedule: Monday–Friday, full time Pay: $16-$20/hour starting, overtime eligible Experience required: Microsoft Excel Skills a Must About the Role SandPile Services runs sand handling, storage, and logistics equipment across the Permian Basin. Every week our trucking reports and vendor invoices have to be accurate, and the Logistics Administrator is the person who checks that paperwork and makes sure it's right. Most of your day is spent in Excel, reviewing trucking reports and vendor invoices: confirming load weights are accurate, load costs are correct, and that every vendor is billing the right job against the right PO. You’ll build and maintain the spreadsheets we use to track all of it — data tables, formulas, pivot tables, charts, and trendlines that show us where costs are going and where the errors keep coming from. When something doesn’t add up — and it will — you call or email the vendor, explain the discrepancy, and stay on it until you have a corrected report or invoice in hand. This is a great fit for someone who is early in their career, catches things other people miss, and isn't shy about picking up the phone. No prior oilfield or logistics experience is required . If you're sharp, dependable, and willing to learn, we'll teach you the rest. Excel Skills — This Is the Core of the Job We need someone who is genuinely comfortable in Excel and wants to get better at it. You will be in it every single day. Specifically, you should be able to (or be eager to learn how to): Build clean, well-structured data tables from trucking reports, scale tickets, and vendor invoices Write formulas that do real work — SUMIF/SUMIFS, COUNTIF, VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP, IF statements, and basic error checks that flag discrepancies automatically Use pivot tables to summarize loads, costs, and vendor activity by job, by PO, and by date Create charts and graphs that make cost and volume trends visible at a glance Add trendlines and simple trend analysis so leadership can see where numbers are heading, not just where they’ve been Sort, filter, and cross-reference large sets of records to find the one line that’s wrong Keep workbooks organized, consistently formatted, and easy for someone else to pick up If you can already do most of this, you’ll hit the ground running. If you can do some of it and you’re hungry to master the rest, tell us that in your application — we will invest in training you. Microsoft Word & PowerPoint Alongside Excel, you’ll use: Word — writing and formatting vendor correspondence, discrepancy letters, process documentation, and internal procedures. You should be comfortable with templates, tables, and clean professional formatting. PowerPoint — building straightforward decks that summarize findings for leadership: cost trends, recurring vendor issues, and month-over-month comparisons. Pulling charts from Excel into a clear, readable slide is a regular part of this role. The Other 20% — Office Support & Projects About a fifth of your time goes to keeping the office running and helping where we need it. This isn’t an afterthought — it’s a real part of the job, and we want someone who genuinely doesn’t mind it: Running errands for the office and operations team — supply runs, pickups and drop-offs around Midland Assisting the Office Manager with whatever is on her plate that week Keeping the office clean and presentable — sweeping, tidying common areas, restocking supplies. Everyone here pitches in on this, including leadership. Helping with software and app projects. We build internal tools to make our own work easier, and we’d like this person involved — testing, giving feedback, writing up requirements, a…
