Logistics Account Manager
Oath FreightRole Overview Oath Freight is seeking a high-ownership Logistics Account Manager to manage and grow established accounts. This role serves as the direct liaison between our customer(s), carrier partners, and our back-office operations team. You will own the day-to-day execution, protect service, defend margin, and lead a dedicated support team to ensure every load moves cleanly and professionally. This is an operations quarterback role — not a passive account position. Core Responsibilities Customer Relationship Ownership Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned transportation accounts Build strong, long-term client relationships rooted in responsiveness and execution Understand customer shipping patterns, service expectations, and KPIs Negotiate pricing and secure future freight opportunities Conduct recurring performance check-ins and service reviews Operational Execution & Load Management Oversee daily transportation activity (FTL, LTL, temp-controlled, intermodal) Coordinate scheduling, dispatching, and tracking of all shipments Ensure accurate pickup/delivery appointments via consignee platforms Collaborate with carrier sales to secure compliant, high-performing capacity Monitor in-transit shipments and proactively resolve delays or service risks Maintain clean, detailed TMS notes and documentation Back-Office Team Leadership Manage and direct a dedicated back-office support team Set expectations for check calls, tracking updates, and document collection Ensure accurate data entry, billing support, and load visibility Drive accountability and continuous performance improvement Train team members on account-specific SOPs Issue Resolution & Escalation Proactively resolve service failures, accessorial disputes, and temperature-related issues Protect customer relationships during service disruptions Escalate complex operational risks to leadership when necessary Coordinate documentation and communication related to freight claims when applicable Performance & Growth Monitor account margin performance and identify improvement opportunities Recommend operational efficiencies and process improvements Stay current on market conditions, capacity trends, and compliance updates Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred 3+ years of experience in transportation, freight brokerage, or logistics operations Required: Experience managing temperature-controlled freight Strong understanding of FTL, LTL, and intermodal operations Experience working with consignee scheduling systems Proficiency in TMS platforms and Microsoft Office Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Leadership or team coordination experience preferred Preferred Experience 3PL or freight brokerage background Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA compliance Experience managing freight claims and damage resolution (strong plus) Bilingual abilities (based on client base) Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $40,000 – $55,000 Performance-based bonus/commission tied to: Account margin performance Service metrics Growth of existing accounts Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Fully paid travel as required Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Referral program Vision insurance Work Location: In person
