HQ RecruitersTJS Group (TJS) seeks to engage a Logistician who supports NOAA's Personal Property Management Program, which spans 13 Line and Staff Offices, approximately 146,780 assets, and roughly $26 billion in total acquisition value. The role covers property records management, transaction quality control, financial reconciliation, and capitalized asset oversight using NOAA's system of record, Sunflower PPMS TJS offers a comprehensive benefit package including immediate medical enrollment and a generous 401k. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position. The work will be performed on site in Silver Spring, MD. The WORK Administrative and Program Support Maintain hard-copy and digital files for capitalized property; manage property barcode distribution and tracking. Support the development of PPMB policies, procedures, and bulletins; conduct quarterly staff training and monthly online webinars, maintaining required training certifications. Pull and analyze data from Sunflower PPMS and CBS to prepare monthly Line Office and Logistics Office meeting slides and trend analysis reports. Maintain the CD126 Smartsheet. Property Records and Quality Control Perform daily quality checks on Sunflower transactions, including additions, excess, and changes. Execute the error notification process, including checklists, system uploads, and follow-up with Property Custodians and Managers. Monitor the Unreconciled Purchase Order Request (UPOR) and CBS databases to reconcile payments for accountable personal property. Capitalized Asset and CWIP Management Prepare and review capitalized asset files for compliance with NOAA and DOC accounting standards; perform capitalization in Sunflower and research discrepancies. Track and validate the annual capitalized inventory process, resolving lost, damaged, or missing asset issues. Review Construction Work-in-Progress (CWIP) reports to ensure timely reclassification to fixed assets upon project completion. The REQUIREMENTS High school graduate or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred. Five (5) or more years of experience in logistics and/or inventory management. U.S. citizen (no Lawful Permanent Residents). Able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat. Hands-on experience with the Sunflower Asset Management System (PPMS). This is the single strongest differentiator. Federal property accountability experience (NOAA or Department of Commerce sub-agencies strongest). Familiarity with the CBS financial system and UPOR reporting cycles. Certifications such as Certified Logistics Associate 4.0, Certified Logistics Technician 4.0, CPSM, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate are preferred. Availability for On-site work at NOAA SSMC2/SSMC4 in Silver Spring, MD; Standard 40-hour work week (Monday–Friday, typically 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM ET) Able to obtain a federal security clearance; active or recent federal security clearance preferred.
