Logistical Engineer
FECONJob Title: Logistical Engineer Manager Title Inventory Manager FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-Time FECON, LLC is a vegetation management equipment manufacturer located in Lebanon, Ohio near Kings Island Amusement Park. Job Summary: The Logistical Engineer provides analytical support to the Production Planning and Procurement team, with a focus on inventory planning, safety stock, and process standardization as the plant scales. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Process Standards & Design: Extends and adapts Plant 1 & 2 logistics standards (milk run, replenishment, transfer execution) to Plant 4 operations Supports the transporter/interplant transfer process, including prioritization logic for production vs. aftermarket demand Assiss in defining planning parameters (days on hand, safety stock) for purchased and manufactured parts by supplier location Procurement Support: Supports ABC/XYZ analysis, safety stock optimization, and EOQ reviews for make and buy parts Assists Buyers and the Production Planning and Procurement Manager with excess and obsolete inventory investigations Helps build and maintain reporting tools (PowerBI) to track supplier inventory levels against planning parameters Continuous Improvement: Participates in Kaizen events and A3 problem solving related to the Plant 4 Warehouse stand-up and material flow Documents standard work and supports training for new Plant 4 processes Performs other related duties as required Required Skills/Abilities: Strong analytical and problem solving skills; comfortable working with data in PowerBI or Excel Working knowledge of inventory planning concepts (safety stock, EOQ, ABC/XYZ analysis) Proficient understanding of ERP systems, Syteline preferred Self-directed with the ability to take direction from a supervisor and manage assigned projects to completion Excellent organizational and communication skills Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field Prior working experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain preferred Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
