Role Description The Logistics Supply Chain Management Transportation role at Cargo Freight Canada is a full-time, on-site position based in Toronto, ON. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring daily transportation operations, including scheduling shipments, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely and accurate documentation. The position involves managing relationships with carriers, customers, and internal teams, resolving shipment issues, and optimizing routes and load planning to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The role includes maintaining compliance with import/export regulations, company policies, and industry standards, as well as analyzing logistics data to support continuous improvement in supply chain performance. Collaboration with warehouse and operations staff to align inventory, dispatch activities, and customer service expectations is a key part of the day-to-day responsibilities. Qualifications Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with clients, carriers, and internal teams. Solid Analytical Skills and experience in Supply Chain Management to plan, track, and optimize transportation and logistics activities. Knowledge of Export procedures, documentation, and regulatory requirements relevant to freight and international shipping. Experience with logistics software, transportation management systems (TMS), and basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Understanding of inventory management, route planning, and freight cost analysis is an asset. Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with attention to detail. Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Familiarity with Canadian and international transportation regulations and industry best practices is beneficial.
