Log Truck Driver & Self Loader Operator
ECR contractingJob description: ECR Contracting is seeking two safety-minded log truck driver & self loader operators to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading round wood from JDI woodlots and harvest sites to various mills throughout Southern New Brunswick. If you are a skilled Class 1 driver who takes pride in operating equipment safely & efficiently, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities: Safely operate a Class 1 tractor-trailer configuration equipped with a self-loading boom/grapple. Load & unload logs in challenging terrain, including forestry roads, blocks, and mill yards Conduct thorough pre-trip & post-trip commercial vehicle inspections Maintain accurate log books, trip reports & mill delivery slips Perform basic preventive maintenance & grease/ service the loader & truck as required. Communicate effectively with shift partners, foresters, mill staff & dispatch Qualifications: Valid Class 1 commercial driver's license 1 year experience, preferred off road experience in logging environments Strong understanding of safety regulations, load securing, & weight distribution Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable transportation to get to & from the truck Benefits/Perks: Competitive hourly pay Shared health benefits Paid vacation & holiday pay Well-maintained equipment Home daily/ predictable local routes Schedule: Monday-Friday Day shift/ Night shift Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour Benefits: Dental care Extended health care Paid vacation Vision care Work Location: In person
