Log Truck Driver

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting logs and chips safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to regulations, and the ability to handle different types of freight. The Truck Driver will pull various trailers including logs, chips, and walking floor. All trucks have Manual Transmissions, no need to apply if you have an automatic restriction. Duties Safely operate and drive assigned truck, pulling log trailers and chip vans. Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling of all materials. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo details. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays. Utilize manual transmission. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck. Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), Class A, with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being driven. Minimum 2 years of Class A Driving experience Familiarity with load unloading procedures and safety protocols. Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle. Strong knowledge of freight handling techniques. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must pass a background check and drug screening as per company policy. A commitment to safety and adherence to all transportation regulations. Willing to travel as needed.
