Local Truck Driver / Forklift Operator
RANDS TRUCKINGSchedule: Monday–Saturday, approximately 4–6 hours per day with some on-call requirements Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time Starting Pay: $24.29/hour | Increases to $25.36/hour after 90 days Overtime: 1.5× regular hourly rate Position Overview We are looking for a dependable Truck Driver/Forklift Operator to transport loads between our facility, the local paper mill, and Gates Warehouse, as well as assist with unloading outside carriers. Flexibility is required. Schedule & Responsibilities Regularly scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays running paper loads between Rands and Bio-Origin or their Gates Warehouse in Ladysmith. You unload and stack all product at the Gates warehouse. They unload you at Bio-Origin. Work approximately 4–6 hours per day. May need assistance Monday, Wednesday, or Friday and will call as needed. Flexibility is required because sometimes Bio-Origin has machines go down, and they need to continue work at another nearby building. They may call after hours to have a couple of trailers shuttled over so production can continue. Requirements Valid forklift certification required. Valid commercial driver’s license and ability to safely operate the required truck(s). Dependable and willing to work a flexible schedule, including occasional after-hours calls when needed. Ability to safely load, transport, and unload materials. Commitment to following all applicable safety procedures. Compensation Starting wage: 24.29/hour(25.36/hour after 90 days) Overtime paid at 1.5× the regular hourly rate Full-time or part-time opportunities available.
